How VOX is Changing the Way People Think about Art
If you want to influence the art scene in Sacramento and see culture changed through art, then you are in the right place.
If you are an artistic person just thinking about sharing your talent, then you are also in the right place.
If you want to be a part of a movement of creative and passionate people, you are in the right place too.
Truly…
Our passion is for the city and for people, and seeing people live their passion to make a difference.
Vox is inspired by a completely volunteer staff of dedicated and creative people.
Think about this for a moment, what if an art gallery was more than that. Not just a place to hang art on the walls and make people money. What if an arts organization worked really hard to support artists, especially new and emerging ones. That’s what we’re here to do, connect your passion and talent with a greater cause.

About Our Team
Vox Sacramento was started by Heath Dalrymple and Eric Sweiven. Very quickly our team expanded to include the talents of Jill Stafford who helped us to get our legal act together by organizing and completing our incorporation documents. She continues to serve as our Artistic Director.
After 5 years in the Sacramento art scene, we continue to focus our efforts one helping new artists participate in their first show. We’ve had the pleasure to see several artists grow from their first time show here to national shows in San Francisco, Chicago, New York and at other venues in Sacramento too.
Feeling good about ourselves after several years of successful 2nd Saturday events in Sacramento, we realized we needed a push toward “creativity.” With our non-profit 501(c)3 status in our hands we desired to push out into helping introduce art and creativity to new audiences. From that ideas we are currently programming art classes for adults one all experience levels – beginner to expert; all led and taught by Vox member artists. Also, our artists lead free children’s workshops to introduce them to the beginning ideas of creativity, artistic expression and experimentation.
You’ll find or approach to art as laid back, yet with very high standards. We believe that artist want to grow and develop and we offer a community that can share ideas and offer feedback as artist develop and grow in their talents.
Finally, one core value for us has always bee to give back and encourage community service. With each 2nd Saturday event we connect to another non-profit organization that contributes in important ways to the Sacramento area and the nation. Through our efforts, over $10,000 has been raised, people have donated hundreds of items, 75 people have been added as bone marrow donors, and more. We are very proud or what we do and the people we get to serve – and serve with!
